Salary – £117,690 plus provided car or relevant allowance (relocation costs available)

The Chief Constable of Cleveland Police is seeking an exceptional individual to join his executive team in the role of Deputy Chief Constable, this is a genuinely open recruitment process for an individual who can demonstrate alignment with the Force values and deliver a long term commitment to the future of Cleveland Police.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a community that has a real heart and a true sense of community spirit but is also faced with some of the most demanding geographic and demographic factors in the Country. Although geographically small the Force spans four Local Authority Areas which provides a unique opportunity for partnership working.
As the Deputy Chief Constable, you will be a dynamic, self-aware leader who can bring diversity of thought and an analytical approach to the operational and leadership challenges we face. You will be responsible for the performance of the Force, delivering outcomes in a manner that reflects a modern culture of performance delivery where numbers are indicators and the real focus is on quality of service.
This is a time of change for Cleveland Police, as the Deputy Chief Constable you will support the Chief Constable in creating the future vision and developing effective delivery arrangements in order to meet the priorities contained in the Police and Crime Plan.
An ability to understand the challenges faced by our communities, deliver truly victim focussed services and ensure our resources are targeted to deliver the outcomes we seek will be critical success factors in the Deputy Chief Constable role.
